Ken Corkum

Ken grew up under the influence of parents who instilled both spiritual and work ethic principles into his life.  He made his decision to become a Seventh-day Adventist Christian when he was 12, while living with family in Bridgewater NS.  The pastor at the time was Harold Friesen from BC.

Ken traveled to Kingsway College for grade 10 and went through their program including the first two years of College.  After completing the remainder of College at Atlantic Union College he and his wife Celest, whom he met at Kingsway while she was in the Nursing program, began their journey of 53 years in ministry.

That journey has included pastoring in Eastern Canada, leading out in Family Ministries and Ministerial Departments, serving as Conference Secretary in Ontario and then Presidency, 12 years in the Maritime Conference and 11 years in NL.

He has completed the Doctor in Ministry and Masters in Religious Education programs at Andrews University.

Ken & Celest have two children, Leroy, who is pastoring in Taiwan along with his wife Debbie, and daughter Luenda with her husband Seth, who with her family is working with Cancer and Kids at Loma Linda University.

Ken loves life, the Lord, and strives to have a balanced life while sharing the Good News of God’s love to a world that needs Him so much and needs to be ready not only for the Second Coming of Jesus but for the challenging times between now and then.  Covid is but a taste.
